
Teen magazines aren’t so big these days. They’ve been more or less replaced with social media and influencer culture — but some mags still prevail, although often in digital form rather than in print. Looking at the way those publications have changed over the last 20 years shows, without a shadow of a doubt, that teen culture has come a long way.
For girls especially, the 90s and noughties were heavy with pressure to conform to outdated ideals, and be the ‘right kind’ of girl.
